10 BLUNDERS WHILE MAKING A PIZZA

Pizza is the most easiest one to order, but biting into fresh crispy pizza made from scratch is much kore rewarding.
And the process is too much fun, From making your own tangy sauce to getting your hands dirty in kneading the dough. Choosing your own cheese to adding your favourite toppings, there's no shortage of your choices and preferences.
Even though making your own pizza is so much fun, avoiding a few mistakes can increases the chances of having a perfect pizza night.
From my experience of a pizzeria to the one sitting on the table and having a pizza, I've pulled together a short list that can help you clear the DO'S and DONT'S of making a pizza.

1) Not setting the dough out in warm place for few hours before stretching
If you are taking the dough out of a refrigerator, it will be really hard to work on it andeven after so much hard work, it will give a dense texture that no one wants to bite into.

2)Not putting a wet cloth over a dough while proofing
Don't ever forget to cover your dough with wet cloth as it will make the dough dry and will make a layer on the top of it. It will give a bad texture to your pizza and also will be hard to stretch it.

3)Improper seasoning in the dough
Salt is very important in any recipe and also very important in dough also. It enhances the other flavour of your seasonings and also helps in making your pizza crusty.

4)Using sauce bought from store
Sauce should be made up of very fresh and rich tomatoes to enhance the flavours of your pizza. Making a fresh pizza sauce is very easy with the flavourful herbs and much better than any store brought sauce.

5)Not preheating the oven
While slow and steady wins the race, pizza is not one of them. When you put a pizza in a hot oven. It will help in making your crust crispy outside and bread like texture inside.

6)Using too much cheese
Don't be shy of cheese on the pizza but be sure to exercise some restraint. You don't want to sop up grease with napkins, and certainly you don't want your crust to float under the heavy cheese.

7)Overloaded toppings
While it may seem too much tempting to have lots of toppings on your pizza but it will lead to only soggy mess. Don't be a prey, Take this advice from someone who had made alot of pizzas.

8)Using a rolling pin to role out the dough
I would never advice to use a rolling pin for opening a pizza dough. It's just too harsh! When you repeatedly run then pin over the dough, you are rolling over those little tiny air bubbles that makes pizza light and crispy.

9)Stretching the pizza too thin
Dough is the entire foundation of the pizza. Pizza that's stretched too much can be problematic as it will not withstand with the weight of pizza sauce, cheese and toppings. The pizza base should thick enough to hold on the pizza toppings.

10)Removing the pizza to soon from the oven
If you remove pizza too soon, toppings might be cooked but the dough won't be ready. It won't be cooked as much as you think. Biting into a raw pizza is pretty frustating thing after lots of efforts.

While these guidelines are not set in any pizza oven, I suggest you to follow some rules in making pizza to make it a yummy delicious crispy pizza.
